Mental Health First Aid in the Workplace
Give your people practical skills to notice a concern, begin a supportive conversation and help a colleague or another adult reach appropriate support.
Blended online · Self-paced learning followed by two live instructor-led sessions

Build confidence to offer initial support
This Standard MHFA course is designed around situations people may encounter at work. Participants learn about common mental health problems and crises, practise how to approach someone they are concerned about, and consider when and how to encourage professional support.
What participants will explore
- Recognising changes that may suggest a mental health problem.
- Starting a conversation and listening without judgement.
- Responding to a range of crisis situations and connecting someone with appropriate help.
- Applying self-care when supporting others.
Blended online format
Complete approximately 5–7 hours of self-paced eLearning, then join two 2.5-hour live video sessions with a Licensed MHFA Instructor to discuss and practise the skills.
For your organisation
Suitable for staff and managers who want to strengthen their ability to offer initial support to other adults. Discuss group arrangements, dates and delivery needs with Thomas.
Accreditation
Participants may complete a separate post-course assessment to become an Accredited MHFAider. The course alone does not confer accreditation.
Connect training with workplace practice
Prepare support pathways, explain how colleagues can reach an MHFAider, and provide privacy, escalation and role support. Alongside training, organisations need to review the work conditions that affect psychological health.
